Thread Vein Removal

 

Using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) This treatment quickly and effectively removes fine and large thread veins on the face, body or legs.

 

How Does The Treatment Work?

The light from the IPL is absorbed & converted to heat which causes the blood in the small blood vessels to coagulate. This is then absorbed by the body similar to the way your body heals from bruising.

 

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Generally two or three sessions is all that is needed to leave your skin feeling smooth and blemish-free.

 

How Often Will I Require Treatment?

Treatment sessions are spaced 2-4  weeks apart.

 

Will The Veins Reappear?

In most cases the same veins will not reoccur as once treated they are effectively destroyed, however due to the anatomy of our blood vessels new veins can appear.

 

What Will Happen After The Treatment?

Following treatment blood vessels that have not immediately disappeared may initially appear to be darker and more prominent but these will gradually fade. Very small blood vessels may coagulate and disappear after only one session but the slightly larger or “bluer” vessels may need several treatments.

 

Does This Treatment Hurt?

There is mild discomfort for this treatment with a sensation similar to that of being flicked with an elastic band.  The treatment is very quick and discomfort is minimized with the cooling hand piece
